This collection includes manuscripts of poetry and of miscellaneous writings.

Most of the collection consists of letters to Golśteĭn; there are some as well to her second husband, Vladimir A. Gol'shtein. The materials reflect Gol'shtein ties to Russian liberalism and populism and also to both French and Russian art and literature. There are groups of cataloged letters from Renʹe Arcos (15), Mykhailo Drahomaniv (52), Andrʹe Fontainas (31), Renʹe Ghil (32), Viacheslav Ivanov (17), Petr Lavrov (49), Vladimir Vernadskii (20), and Maksimilian Voloshin (29). There are also items by Jurgis Baltrušaitis, Henri Martin Barzun, Henri Bergson, Ivan Bunin, Sergei Diagilev, Paul Fort, Vladislav Khodasevich, Aristide Maillol, and Odilon Redon. Manuscripts are chiefly by Golśhteĭn, and include her memoirs on Drahomaniv. There are also poems by Voloshin and by Konstantin Bal'mont. Subject files deal with such topics as the Russian famine of 1891-92 and the Russian Liberation Committee at the time of the Civil War. There is a copy of Gol'shtein's book, "Serf Life in Russia."

The collection consists of seventy seven letters to the editors of the Parisian Russian-emigre newspaper "Russkaia myslʹ." The letters date from 1953 to 1957 and touch on a variety of topics, including the search for lost relatives.

Correspondence and manuscripts of Zaĭt︠s︡ev. This collection covers from the 1920's into the 1960's. There is correspondence from many other emigre writers. The largest groups of cataloged letters are by Mark Aldanov (105 items), Ivan Bunin (161), Archimandrite Kiprian (104), Alekseĭ Remizov (48), and Nadezhda Teffi (101). There are also items by Boris Bugaev (Andreĭ Belyĭ), Vi︠a︡cheslav Ivanov, Vladislav Khodasevich, Sergeĭ Lifaŕ and Boris Pasternak. Zaĭt︠s︡ev's manuscripts in the collection include some of his major works, such as "Puteshestvie Gleba" "Dom v Passi" "Zhizn ́Turgeneva" and "Zhukovskiĭ". In addition, the collection has a book and a pamphlet, both inscribed by Zaĭt︠s︡ev.

Collection includes correspondence and manuscripts. There is one letter each from Anton Kartashev and Bernard Pares. The manuscripts consist of articles, lectures, and notes by Petrunkevich on a variety of topics, and a brief memoir on the period of the Revolution and the Civil War.

The correspondence includes a copy of a 1913 letter to Smirnova-Maksheeva and a 1973 letter from her. The manuscripts are primarily by Smirnova-Maksheeva and include essays on the St. Petersburg Ekaterinskiĭ Institut; the Smirnov vodka dynasty (to which Smirnova-Maksheeva's first husband belonged); the author Petr A. Zhili︠́a︡r(Pierre Gilliard); the painter Konstantin E. Makovskiĭ (whom Smirnova-Maksheeva knew) and her husband and father-in-law. In addition, there is a manuscript of a talk about Smirnova-Maksheeva's poetry given by Georgiĭ Ivit︠s︡kiĭ in Paris, 1975. The published books are "Rasskazy i povesti" (Paris, 1975)"Skazka o russkom soldate, krylatom bese i t︠s︡arevne Elene" (Paris, 1974)"Dushoĭ i serdt︠s︡em" (Souvain, 1970) and "Tain̆a kazbeka-Gruzinskai︠a︡ legenda v stikhakh 16-17 veka" (Paris, 1947).

Correspondence, manuscripts, documents, and printed materials of the Russian writer Vladislav Khodasevich, which were collected by or sent to Karpovich. There are 6 letters by Khodasevich to Karpovich, and 2 to other people. Manuscripts and documents by Khodasevich include poetry, notes, essays, autobiographical information, listings of his publications, earnings, daily work, and references to him in print. Printed materials consist of clippings and an annotated copy of his "Poeticheskoe khozi︠a︡istvo Pushkina" (1924). There are also 2 items in the collection by Raisa Blokh, and 1 by Georgiĭ Ivanov.

Correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, organizational records, and accounts of the Soi︠u︡z Russkikh Pisateleĭ i Zhurnalistov v Parizhe (Union of Russian Writers and Journalists in Paris). The correspondence (ca. 1920-1951) primarily deals with organizational subsidies and events, and includes letters from such writers as Mark Aldanov, Ivan Bunin, Mikhail Fedorov, Mikhail Osorgin, Alekseĭ Remizov, Nadezhda Teffi, Marina T︠S︡vetaeva and Boris Zaĭt︠s︡ev (the president of the organization) among others. There are manuscripts by Vladimir Zeeler and Sofii︠a︡ Anichkova-Taube as well as photographs of several members of the organization. The financial records include receipts for subsidies and general financial statements covering the 1920-1950 period. The organizational records concern Union balls, publications, and other activities. There are also folders of miscellaneous notes and clippings.
