Correspondence, manuscripts, drawings, watercolors, sketches, proofs, and printed materials. The collection includes original watercolor, pen-and-ink, and pencil illustrations for fifty books by various authors, beginning with Georges Duplaix's TOPSY TURVY CIRCUS (1940), and continuing with Golden Book's Scuffy the Tugboat & Tootles the Train by Gertrude Crampton; Duplaix's The Merry Shipwreck; Kipling's The Jungle Books, and the artist's dummy for The Wheel on the Chimney by Margaret Wise Brown, a Caldecott Honor book. Also included are illustrations for nineteen books by Gergely; advertising and commercial art of the 1940s, political cartoons and carricatures from the 1930s 1940s in Europe and America; designs for greeting cards, posters, and record jackets; and eighteen watercolor drawings for NEW YORKER covers, many of which were published in the 1940s. A selection of manuscripts, correspondence, and printed materials is also included in the collection.

Correspondence, manuscripts, original drawings and sketches, and memorabilia of Reinhart. Of the 247 letters in the collection, a number are from E.A. Abbey, William Dean Howells, and Henry James. There are eight original drawings and sketches and two sketchbooks, as well as numerous photostats and clippings of his works that appeared in magazines. Also, a group of letters to the artist's son, C. Stanley Reinhart, relating to the disposition of various paintings to galleries and museums throughout the country.

Manuscripts of musical scores, memorabilia and photograph. Folder 1 of the collection includes a general index (d. March 1945), photograph, awards, 5 citations, and a biographical sketch. His musical compositions (folders 2-26) are divided in three major categories: sacred and non-sacred vocal music, and musical compositions for instruments. His sacred choruses for mixed voices has been highly praised. His non-sacred vocal music seems to deal with children, nature, and poetic topics; also included are arrangements of Stephen Foster's songs for choruses. Among his musical compositions for instruments are some with Caribbean or West Indian themes
