Correspondence, manuscripts and documents. Included among his personal and professional correspondence are letters from famous economists collected by Seligman. Among these are: I) William Shirley (Box 95). 1741-1745. Copies of letters and documents by Shirley, Royal Governor of Massachusetts, addressed chiefly to the Board of Trade, London; II) Paul Flobart (Box 96). Correspondence, family and business papers of Ernest Jones, 1819-1869, English militant socialist and leader of the Chartist movement, and publisher of two newspapers propagating Marxist doctrines. Collection consists of ca.1,708 items, and some family correspondence and mementoes. The most valuable part appears to be his notes refuting various libel charges brought against him. The collected papers of Aaron W. Warner, former Director of the University Seminars, include his writings on domestic and foreign labor, course notes, and documents from his time at the University Seminars.

The papers include correspondence, manuscripts, notes, and printed materials. Among the correspondents are Sergeĭ Bulgakov, Nikolaĭ Losskiĭ, and Marina T︠S︡vetaeva, and there are one or two letters each from Nina Berberova, Georgiĭ Florovskiĭ, and Semen Frank. There is substantial family correspondence, primarily letters from Fedotov to his wife and daughter. Manuscripts include articles and lectures by Fedotov, and a draft of his translation of the Book of Psalms into Russian; there is also a poem by Marina T︠S︡vetaeva, "M.V." (1932). Printed material consists of off-prints of many of Fedotov's articles. There are subject files on Nikolaĭ Berdi︠a︡ev and on the Bogoslovskiĭ Institute conflict in the late 1930s.
