Collection includes correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, and printed materials. There are letters from Rodion Berezov, Aleksandra Tolstai︠a︡, I︠A︡kov T︠S︡vibak, and Mark Weĭnbaum as well as one letter each from Georgiĭ Grebenshchikov, Dmitriĭ Shakhovskoĭ, and Igor ́Sikorskiĭ. There is a poem and letter drafts by Matviĭchuk, dating from 1945-1973. The arranged manuscripts include a brief memoir by Matviĭchuk entitled "Ushedshee." The essay discusses his family, the Civil War, and life in the Soviet Union during the 1920s. Matviĭchuk left the Soviet Union during World War II, and eventually emigrated to the United States. There is a box of clippings and several boxes of emigre newspapers and journals, many of which contain essays by Matviĭchuk.

Letters received by A. V. Bakhrakh which discuss 20th century Russian literature, contemporary Slavic studies, and Russian emigre publishing activities. Correspondents include Andrei Belyi (Boris Bugaev), Ivan Bunin, Kornei Chukovskii, Andre Gide and Boris Pilniak. There are over 300 letters by Gleb Struve wtitten from 1964 to 1983, which cover the above topics as well as Struve's personal and professional life. There are both letters and manuscripts by Vladislav Khodasevich, Aleksei Remizov and Marina Tsvetaeva.

Most of the collection consists of the files of the Vserossiiskii natsional'nyi tsentr (Tsentrosoiuz; All-Russian National Center), an anti-Bolshevik body based in the South during the Civil War, for 1918-1922. Other materials relate to the emigration in France from the 1930s to the 1950s, when Krovopuskov was an official of "Zemgor" and Vasilii Maklakov's assistant in the "Russkii ofis" in Paris. Also included are personal documents and photographs of Krovopuskov. Printed materials dating from the Civil War include publications of the White southern government (laws and decrees).

The collection chiefly consists of Goldenweiser's American legal case files. There are also case files from his German years, and substantial materials on his research into the condition of Russian refugees and refugee problems in general in the 1930s. Much of the correspondence from the late 1930s and early 1940s concerns Jews in Germany and occupied Europe. Correspondents in the collection include Mark Aldanov, Abraham Cahan, Antal Dorati, Georgiĭ Florovskiĭ, Tatʹi︠a︡na Frank, Vladimir and Vera Nabokov, and Mikhail Karpovich; there are 1 or 2 items each from Dwight D. Eisenhower, Eleanor Roosevelt, Herbert Lehman, and Nikolaĭ Losskiĭ. Letters, manuscripts, and documents by Vera Nabokova contain considerable information on her and her husband's lives in Germany and in the United States. Many of the American case files concern (as does much of the Nabokova material) individual claims for reparations from Germany after World War II.

The papers include correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, and printed materials. Among the correspondents are Boris Bakhmeteff, Pavel Mili︠u︡kov, Ivan Shmelev, and Petr Wrangel. There is a manuscript of General Denikin's entitled, "Ocherki russkoĭ smuty," and of some of his other writings. Subject files deal with the Civil War and the emigration. Extensive printed materials include General Denikin's library and a collection of chiefly Russian emigre periodicals. Boxes 51, 52, 56, 61 have been integrated in the SEEC periodical collection.

The collection contains correspondence, manuscripts, a subject file, minutes of meetings, membership applications, addresses, membership records, financial records and printed materials, all relating to the Society. Cataloged correspondents include Mark Aldanov, Mikhail Karpovich, George Fedotov, and other.

The collection partially consists of letters, most of which are to Nadezhda. Among the correspondents are Nikolaĭ Losskiĭ, Alekseĭ Remizov, and Nikolaĭ Roerich. Also included are manuscripts of his writings, such as "I︠U︡ra" and "Pod novymi zvezdami."
