Typescript and photostatic copies of correspondence and documents relating to the trial of Charles W. Leadbeater, an official of the Theosophical Society. A copy of the official charges filed with replies from Mrs. Annie Besant, head of the Theosophical Society; and printed documents and speeches for and against Leadbeater. There is a holograph list in the hand of Helen F. Dennis, a member of the American Theosophical Society, and a number of the pamphlets have manuscript notes in her hand.

The collection contains correspondence, manuscripts, a subject file, minutes of meetings, membership applications, addresses, membership records, financial records and printed materials, all relating to the Society. Cataloged correspondents include Mark Aldanov, Mikhail Karpovich, George Fedotov, and other.

Included is a scrapbook of newspaper articles by Cane, written chiefly for the "New York Evening Post".
