The collection includes the project files and architectural drawings of the Taliesin Associated Architects, the firm that was established after the death of Frank Lloyd Wright in 1959. Projects include commissions that were left on Wright's desk at the time of his death as well as independent commissions and renovation work. Over 1,000 architectural projects are represented either in the paper records, the architectural drawings, or both.

The collection consists of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, subject files and printed materials. Although most of the correspondence is among family members (from 1921 to 1946), there are three folders of letters concerning the publication of Shebeko's memoirs. The manuscripts include Shebeko's diary from 1918-1919 as well as English, French and Russian versions of his memoirs which were published in French in 1936: "Souvenirs -- Essai historique sur les origines de la guerre de 1914." There are documents relating to rentals, mortgages and repairs of the Shebeko's homes, estates and apartments, primarily dating from 1910-1914. The subject files include Shebeko's reports on the Balkan situation in 1913 and 1914 and the Russkiĭ soedinennyi klub in Paris. Among the printed materials are clippings and a copy of the published version of Shebko's memoirs.

Manuscripts, notes, lecture materials, and papers of Hayes. There are six boxes of correspondence, notes, and documents relating to the war years, 1942-1945, when Prof. Hayes served as Ambassador to Spain. The collection also includes the notes, drafts, and typescripts of Prof. Hayes' publications including his books Wartime Mission in Spain, 1942-1945 (New York, 1945), History of Europe (New York, 1956), A Political and Cultural History of Modern Europe (New York, 1932-1936), Generation of Materialism (New York, 1941), Christanity and Western Civilization (Stanford, 1954), and Contemporary Europe Since 1970 (New York, 1958). There are also notes and typescripts of an "Autobiography," which is apparently unpublished. Included in the collection are two boxes of catalogued correspondence.

Correspondence and manuscripts including drafts, typescripts, and proofs of Franken's short stories, novels, plays, and radio, film, and television scripts beginning with her first novel, PATTERN, published in 1925, through her latest volume, YOU'RE WELL OUT OF A HOSPITAL, published in 1966. Many of the manuscripts relate to her most famous characters, Claudia and David, who have become part of the contemporary cultural fabric. The collection also contains 18 volumes of clippings, approximately 200 recordings, and 501 mimeographed scripts relating to the "Claudia" series. Among the major correspondents are Faith Baldwin, Paul U. Kellogg, and Eleanor Roosevelt. Also includes an audio tape interview of Rose Franken (with typescript transcripts) conducted by her grandnephew, David Korr, in October 1977.

The collection consists of the editorial and production archives of Random House, Inc. from its founding in 1925 to the 1990s. The correspondence and editorial files include many of the prominent novelists and short story writers from 20th-century American and European literature: Saul Bellow; Erskine Caldwell; Truman Capote; William Faulkner; Sinclair Lewis; André Malraux; Gertrude Stein and Thornton Wilder. Among the poets there are files for W. H. Auden; Allen Ginsberg; Robinson Jeffers; Robert Lowell; and Stephen Spender. In the area of theater there are files for Maxwell Anderson; Moss Hart; Lillian Hellman; Eugene O'Neill; and Tennessee Williams. Random House transacted business with many fine presses and noted typographers and the archives contain files for Nonesuch Press, Grabhorn Press and Golden Cockerel Press, as wll as for Bruce Rogers, Valenti Angelo, and Edwin, Jane, and Robert Grabhorn.
