Manuscripts comprising notes, speeches, and articles, covering a wide range of social and political subjects and giving an extensive history of the Communist Party. Many of the manuscripts relate to his work as a theoretical writer for the Communist Party and the DAILY WORKER (New York). Subjects covered include the Garvey movement in 1924 and the League of Struggle for Negro Rights in the early 1930s; the re-orientation of the Communist Party in 1945-1947 with respect to the South and the Negro question generally (Minor became the Party's Southern representative in that period); the Party's general policies in the early 1930s and 1941-1942 when Minor was acting secretary in the absence of Earl Browder, and relating to the Party's policy toward the war following the German attack on the Soviet Union; postwar changes in the Party; the "Agrarian Movement;" and the Communist trials of 1949-1953. The extensive clipping file covers the entire domestic political scene and reflects the whole of Minor's career. These date from 1907 to his death, and contain considerable material on the Russian Revolution and the Spanish Civil War. Also, numerous pamphlets and ephemera relating to the Communist Party.

The collection of printed materials consists of eighteen boxes of newspaper clippings, oversize clippings and various newspaper letters and flyers. The clippings cover the 1920-1975 period and deal with topics including: World War II, Soviet affairs, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Russian literature, Asian affairs and such individuals as Stalin, Khrushchev, Solzhenit︠s︡yn and Sakharov. There are newsletters from the St. Sergius High School and the Tolstoy Foundation as well as a number of pamphlets on East European affairs.

Papers of Stafford, reflecting a wide interest in psychedelic drugs, other drugs, and all aspects of the youth culture of the 1960s. Among the manuscript materials are drafts for chapters in his books, case histories, some correspondence, and materials showing the workings of the underground press. There are clippings, pamphlets, and books of both technical and popular interest.

Correspondence, memoranda, manuscripts, documents, photographs, printed material, and memorabilia of Ascher. Also, his notes and diary/datebooks, as well as typescripts for many of his reports, articles, and reviews. Among the major correspondents are Roger Nash Baldwin, Mary Steichen Calderone, Julian Huxley, Margaret Mead, Jo Mielziner, Lewis Mumford, Alva Myrdal, Edwin Herbert Samuel (2nd Viscount Samuel), Percy E. Sutton, and Constantine D. Tsatsos.

The reports and correspondence relating to UNRRA were arranged according to the nine administrative divisions of that organization that generated the documents: Bureau of Administration (26 reels); Office of the Diplomatic Adviser (4 reels); Office of the Director General (20 reels); Office of the Economic Adviser (4 reels); Office of Far Eastern Affairs (9 reels); Office of the General Counsel (19 reels); Office of the Historian (16 reels); Office of Public Information (1 reel); and Secretariat Executive Office (3 reels). Within each division, subsidiary bodies are typically separated into subject and country files.

Correspondence and other documents relating to the Paris Peace Conference, League of Nations, and Locarno Pact with which Prof. Shotwell was associated. There is material relating to Shotwell's THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL HISTORY OF THE WORLD WAR, as well as to his other writings.

Correspondence, manuscripts, subject files, and photographs of Tannenbaum, including typewritten lists of property records in the various states of Mexico, ca. 1926; and clippings relating to Mexico. Some of these materials were used in the preparation of his book THE MEXICAN AGRARIAN REVOLUTION. Also, personal letters and files relating to the Farm Security Program, and specifically the Bankhead Bill and the Farm Tenant Bill, 1937, 1934-1937.

Correspondence, manuscripts, notes, reports, memoranda, contracts, and other legal documents, and printed materials of Kalmanoff. These files cover the period of his associate directorship of the International Research Projects, especially his work on the Public International Development Financing Project at Columbia University, and his work as an economic consultant for many companies and organizations.
