Correspondence and other documents relating to the Paris Peace Conference, League of Nations, and Locarno Pact with which Prof. Shotwell was associated. There is material relating to Shotwell's THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL HISTORY OF THE WORLD WAR, as well as to his other writings.

Correspondence; manuscripts by Jones and others; subject files; reserach materials including inventories of deceased persons' estates, probate records arranged by state, microfilm of state and country financial records, and colonial maps; research data on file cards, punch cards, and computer printouts; teaching materials; and printed material. There is correspondence with Stuart Bruchey of the Columbia University Department of History. The collection includes 92 volumes from Jones' Library.

Correspondence, memoranda, minutes, reports, agenda, and related printed matter concerning the programs of the American Library Association's (ALA) International Relations Committee, 1941-1967. These were the working files of Jack Dalton who was Director of ALA's International Relations Office, 1956-1959. The internal office files of the Board and Committee are also included.

Correspondence, reports, lists, memoranda, photographs, and printed materials on the history of the wartime activities of the Army Library Service, compiled by Jamieson for his books EDITIONS FOR THE ARMED SERVICES, INC.; A HISTORY TOGETHER WITH THE COMPLETE LIST OF 1324 BOOKS PUBLISHED FOR AMERICAN ARMED FORCES OVERSEAS (New York, 1948), and BOOKS FOR THE ARMY; THE ARMY LIBRARY SERVICE IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR (New York, Columbia University Press, 1950). Correspondents include Robert Cutler, Melvyn Douglas, Lewis Galantière, Dashiell Hammett, and Harry Scherman.

The collection of printed materials consists of eighteen boxes of newspaper clippings, oversize clippings and various newspaper letters and flyers. The clippings cover the 1920-1975 period and deal with topics including: World War II, Soviet affairs, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Russian literature, Asian affairs and such individuals as Stalin, Khrushchev, Solzhenit︠s︡yn and Sakharov. There are newsletters from the St. Sergius High School and the Tolstoy Foundation as well as a number of pamphlets on East European affairs.
