The reports and correspondence relating to UNRRA were arranged according to the nine administrative divisions of that organization that generated the documents: Bureau of Administration (26 reels); Office of the Diplomatic Adviser (4 reels); Office of the Director General (20 reels); Office of the Economic Adviser (4 reels); Office of Far Eastern Affairs (9 reels); Office of the General Counsel (19 reels); Office of the Historian (16 reels); Office of Public Information (1 reel); and Secretariat Executive Office (3 reels). Within each division, subsidiary bodies are typically separated into subject and country files.

Some of these materials were used in the preparation of his book THE MEXICAN AGRARIAN REVOLUTION. Also, personal letters and files relating to the Farm Security Program, and specifically the Bankhead Bill and the Farm Tenant Bill, 1937, 1934-1937.

The Packer collection contains 64,000 items from the files of this American diplomat. It is complete in its representation of every aspect of his life. The papers include personal and professional correspondence, manuscripts, documents, printed materials, and Russian cartoons and illustrations, as well as original World War I posters. It also contains an array of photographs taken by Mr. Packer between 1917 and 1923, which depict scenes from the Russian Revolution and from Russian city life.

The Industrial Areas Foundation has been working in the northeast and New York metropolitan area for 35 years. The collection documents the organization's relationship with four mayors, five governors, environmental commissioners and several governors in New Jersey, numerous public and private sector leaders. Included in the collection are correspondence, op-eds, editorials, articles, and other press items, strategy documents and internal reports describing the workings of our citizens organizations in four boroughs, northern New Jersey, Long Island, and beyond. The organization has been deeply involved in many of the central issues and initiatives of the region over those years including, the rebuilding of East Brooklyn and the South Bronx, the start of the new small schools movement, the start of the living wage movement, the charter revisions that ended the old Board of Estimates and expanded the City Council, the fight to establish and preserve mayoral control of the schools, the ongoing struggles to preserve public housing, and many other matters.

Correspondence, memos, minutes, annual reports, membership and mailing lists, publicity files, and printed materials relating to the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) and two of its subdivisions, the Serials Industry Systems Advisory Committee (SISAC), and the Book Industry Systems Advisory Committee (BISAC). Correspondence includes letters to and from a wide variety of prominent members of the publishing industry, and relates to all aspects of the BISG, SISAC, and BISAC, including finance. Memos concern all aspects of BISG's operations, and are both intra and interdivisional. Minutes are of meetings of SISAC, BISAC, the BISG, and the Board of Directors, and include attendence records and reports by various members. The membership and mailing lists illustrate the diversity of the BISG and emphasize its importance in the publishing industry. Publicity files include examples of press releases and mailings to BISG members. The printed material includes copies of Consumer research reports prepared by the BISG and copies of its three publications, Book Industry Trends, Trends Update, and the BISG Bulletin
