This collection contains audio recordings for 186 different lectures, which have been digitized and are available online to Columbia affilates (and available to our public in our reading room). While the majority of the recordings are from the GSAPP Wednesday Night Lecture series, there are some recordings from other GSAPP sponosored symposiums, panels, and talks. The recordings are arranged in chronological order, with undated recording listed last. No paper records for this lecture series are included in this collection.

Album contains photostats of original drawings sent to Washington, D.C. for the War Department and Navy Buildings. The architects for the project include Corbett, Harrison & MacMurrary; Holabird & Root; and James C. Mackenzie.

Included are photocopies of Cret's architectural drawings for the Hartford County Building, Hartford, Conn., 1926-1927; the Federal Reserve Building, Washington, D.C., 1936; the Folger Shakespeare Library, Washington, D.C., 1929; and miscellaneous projects. Also, Cret's sketches for monuments (including studies for the Quentin Roosevelt Fountain, 1919), covers and title pages for publications, a bridge, a bas-relief, a map, a medal, and a bookplate, circa 1901-1931. Includes one student drawing from the Ecole des Beaux Arts.

Architectural drawings for projects designed by the firm. The drawings, mostly blueprints, documents Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge, N.J.; The Department of Commerce Building, Washington, D.C.; The New York Academy of Medicine, New York, N.Y.; Federal Reserve Bank of New York, New York, N.Y.; and University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich.

Collection consists of correspondence, clippings, reports, press releases, memorandums, memos, meeting minutes, printed material, notes, financials, and one photograph. The collection is arranged alphabetically in two series: Committee Records and Reference material. Reference material includes printed booklets and copies of the Congressional Record recording the proceedings and debates of Congress.

Approximately 30,000 negatives and prints of buildings primarily on the East Coast, designed by various architects, including the Baltimore Museum of Art, Constitution Hall and the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C., and several churches and houses, all designed by John Pope Russell; four houses by Electus D. Litchfield; houses and other projects by Grosvenor Atterbury; houses by Peabody, Wilson & Brown; the John Ringling mansion in Sarasota, Florida, among other houses, churches, and office buildings designed by Dwight James Baum; numerous houses and apartment buildings in Miami Beach, Florida, especially those by Russell T. Pancoast and Robert Law Weed; many other houses throughout Florida by architects such as John L. Volk and Treanor and Fatio; and many houses and estates located in suburbs of New York City, particulary Greenwich, Conn., Montclair, N.J., and Mt. Kisco, Locust Valley, Oyster Bay, and South Hampton, N.Y.

The William Muschenheim collection spans from 1929 to 1957, with bulk dates from 1931-1950. The collection documents approximately 130 separate jobs and is made up of architectural drawings, correspondence, accounts, estimates, specifications, invoices, contracts, samples, invoices, and other material related to Muschenheim's professional projects. The projects mainly represent Muschenheim's work in New York City, but also include work in Albany (NY), Amenia (NY), Bridgehampton (NY), Chappaqua (NY), Hampton Bays (NY), Malverne (NY), Massapequa (NY), Nassau Point (Long Island), Washington (CT), Washington DC, Westhampton Beach (NY), and Woodstock (NY), among other locations.
